Get Involved: Volunteer With Forest Home

Share your time and make a day brighter.

Joining our
caring community

At Forest Home, we value every helping hand. Whether you have time to chat, assist with activities or would like to offer your skills in your own way, your support makes a real difference. If you’re ready to get involved, we’d love to welcome you.

Time Commitment

We’re flexible. Whether you're available once a week, once a month or just every so often, we’ll do our best to match you to something that works. Some roles take place during set hours (such as events), and we’ll always let you know in advance.

How to Apply

Here’s what the volunteer application process looks like:

Complete our simple online application form below
Provide two character references
Undergo an Enhanced DBS check (organised by us)

Sign a confirmation form to show you’ve received and understood our safeguarding, fire safety, whistleblowing and health and safety guidance

Please download and complete the application form, then return it by email to admin@forestcarehome.co.uk

Ready to lend a hand?

Volunteers bring friendly faces and meaningful connections that make our residents’ days better, so that every little moment is special. If you’re looking for a rewarding way to give back and become part of our community, we’d love to invite you in and share how you can get involved.

Training & Induction

Before you begin, we’ll provide a short induction covering everything you need to know:

  • Safeguarding and whistleblowing
  • Fire procedures
  • Health and safety
  • Volunteer expectations and boundaries

You’ll also meet your point of contact and a walk-through

What to Expect

We’ll let you know ahead of time what to bring or wear (usually comfy clothes are perfect).
Tea, coffee and refreshments are available during your time with us, and if you’re supporting events, we’ll give you a full briefing beforehand.
